Site Upgrade - Your Submissions Page

Last month, we began a major upgrade to the site by completely redesigning the Your Titles page. In September, we launched the other half of that effort with a redesign of the way we display Your Submissions.

First off, we took the basic, tabular format and opened it up to include more information. With the new design, you don’t have to drill down to the submission editing page to view critical dates and response times. The table now lists follow up dates along with initial query dates, and displays response types and submission lengths for both. For open submissions, the number of days that have passed, or “days out” is shown.

But the real power of the new design comes from the new filtering options that let you narrow your view down to the submissions you’re most interested in, whether that’s by title, by submission status, submission method, or some combination of all three. New sorting options allow you to list those submissions according to Date Submitted, Date Replied, Agent Name, Date Last Updated, and more.

Best of all, the changes to the Submissions Page work seamlessly with the changes already in place on the Titles List. Click on any number on the response table or segment of the pie charts on that page to be taken to the list of submissions that number represents. Click on a title name from the Submission page to go right back to the aggregated information for that title.

Though these changes are comprehensive, we’re not quite done yet. We have a few more tricks up our sleeves in terms of submission tracking, as well as other areas of the site. Like always, we rely on your ideas and feedback to make the site better, so keep those comments and suggestions coming! And even more importantly, keep writing!
